Using the analogy of journey, he averred that education needn't be confined to one destination as there are many paths. Citing diverse examples, anecdotes and stories, he urged the students to develop the all-round qualities inherent in them, as ordinary things have no place in the competitive world. He advised the students to brace themselves for the tough competition in life, because competition brings out the best in us. The Guest of Honour for the day, Dr. S. M. Shivaprakash, Director of Extension, Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar in his rousing speech, stressed the importance of self confidence amongst students. He shared motivating stories from the lives of Swami Vivekananda and Saint Panini to inspire the students.
