Mangaluru: A meeting of the parents of I PU and II PU students of Expert Pre University College, Valachil were convened separately in the college campus. The objective of the meeting was to apprise them of the various activities of the college to prepare the students to face upcoming examinations, seek their suggestions and feed backs to enhance the performances and also to address their grievances if any.
The meeting was presided over by Prof. Narendra L Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions. He briefed the parents about various activities and measures that are being taken to prepare the students to achieve their goals.
Dr.Ushaprabha N Nayak, Vice Chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions spelled out the role of the parents and teachers in accomplishing the desired goal of the students. She informed that the Expert College provides motivational impetus and guidance to students through various programmes such as Edu-Path Lecture Series, expert counselling, interactive sessions with achievers, yoga, pranayama etc.
Dr.N.K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Expert P.U. College, Valachil elaborated the facilities and congenial atmosphere provided to the students in the college. Mr.Shyam Prasd, Co-ordinator of AICE and Mr.Subramanya Udupa HOD of Mathematics apprised the parents on preparations for competitive exams such as JEE Main, NEET and CET. Ar. Deepika A. Nayak and Mr.Raghavendra Shenoy S. vice Principal were present on the occasion.
Queries of the parents regarding various matters were addressed in the interactive session that followed.
Ms Sheryl D’Souza, lecturer in Chemistry welcomed the gathering, compeered the programme and proposed vote of thanks in the first session. Ms. Anitha Shetty, lecturer in English accorded a cordial welcome to the gathering, compered the programme and expressed gratitude in the second session.
